La lógica, como las matemáticas y las hojas de cálculo y los "algoritmos de decisión", son parte de lo que se puede llamar
pensamiento procesal: está uno procesando cosas
dentro de la cabeza.
Hay quien dice que el énfasis histórico que se ha dado a la lógica ha robado energía al estudio de la percepción. ¿Será verdad o no?
El caso es que sí creo que centrarnos en que un argumento sea "lógico" no es suficiente. Hay que ver si los "supuestos de partida" (y hay muchos en cualquier "razonamiento") son "válidos".
Claro que, entonces, la
validez tiene elementos subjetivos, discutibles, que dependen del punto de vista y de cuántos factores estás teniendo en cuenta.
Y entonces el "P entonces Q" se vuelve insuficiente.
Existe también la
"lógica difusa", muy propia de la medicina: "muchos de los que tienen fiebre en temporada epidémica tienen gripe". No es
todos, sino
muchos. Así que la cosa se complica.
Las
"verdades circulares" son otro aspecto que revela la insuficiencia de la lógica "clásica" (que tiene su utilidad, pero que es insuficiente por sí misma). Por verdad circular entiendo las del tipo "como lo creo lo veo, y como lo veo lo creo". ("Todas las mujeres son malas conductoras", "
¡Mira, orión!" ;-), etc.)
Un paso más allá podríamos poner a la
"causalidad circular", que es como las verdades circulares, pero pasando por los hechos: "como creo que me odias te miro mal, con lo cual tú crees que te odio y me miras mal, lo cual me refuerza en que creo que me odias".
Por si fuera poco, la
"creatividad" es necesaria para generar o encontrar alternativas: "si P entonces Q ... o R o S o Pi o Euro".

Sólo cuando tienes un "mapa" (representación) de la realidad, entonces puedes usar la lógica. Si mi P es una porquería, entonces mi Q es ... "garbage out".
El hombre (especie) del renacimiento actual necesita, el pobre, una percepción amplia y una buena lógica (o varias buenas lógicas).
El problema suele estar en lo de la percepción amplia: aspectos y posibilidades.
