Simpar
Edward de Bono, mencionado recientemente en
http://ming.tv, propone el verbo "simp" porque "simplificar" es una palabra demasiado larga que contradice su propia intención.
(Naturalmente, todos nos damos cuenta de que inventar una nueva palabra es una tontería. Las palabras son las que son y cambiarlas (o inventar palabras nuevas como "PO") sólo trae problemas. ;))
El meollo de la simplificación es que lograr que las cosas sean más simples, todo lo simples posibles, adecuadamente simples, supone intención, esfuerzo y método. Quita una de las tres cosas y no lograrás nada.
Un ejemplo. A través de la lista "biolinux" (de
los argentinos), me llega un enlace a
una propuesta para simplificar las distribuciones Linux. Las hacen más complicadas de desarrollar, claro; más divertido para quienes disfrutan con esas cosas.
Me parece entender que cada "distro" (¡huy, una palabra "simpada"!) podría tener 3 "círculos concéntricos":
- lo básico para decir que eso es Linux (kernel, networking y gestión de paquetes),
- el modo texto (correo, navegador, editor de textos), y
- el modo gráfico.
Yo llevo tiempo deseando tener una buena distribución que me resuelva el modo texto. Quiero poder circular entre las aplicaciones con alt-TAB, y tener VIM (con
VIMoutliner, claro), mutt, links, irssi, y cositas así. También querría tener un "feed" de esos de bitácoras, algo para acceder a los wikis y cosas así.
Personalmente, soy un "ascii thinker". Simpando un poco el término, soy un "pensador en modo texto". Lo simple para mí no es lo simple para otros. El reto es que el mercado está segmentado fractalmente.
Fleming Funch habla también de los
Sombreros para pensar, con buenos dibujitos (me gusta la posición del verde), y los comenta como una contribución interesante.
Sin embargo, no veo que haga énfasis en algo que creo muy importante: los sombreros son una forma concreta de llevar a cabo el
pensamiento paralelo. (No sé si habrá más formas. Agradezco que me iluminen.)
¿Alguien aquí sabe lo que es el "pensamiento paralelo"?

Relaciónalo con lo que se ha dado en llamar "brainstorming", pues una premisa básica es tener en cuenta los puntos de vista de otros.

El pensamiento lateral, con los varios usos de la palabra "PO" es muy interesante. Es lo que se usaría al usar el Sombrero Verde.
El brainstorming, hasta donde yo sé, es un método para trabajar en grupo quitando inhibiciones y apoyándose unos en las ideas de los otros.
Las técnicas de pensamiento lateral son más formales, y se basan en crear provocaciones y en moverse hacia ideas nuevas. Las técnicas son formales y cada uno tendrá su habilidad natural y más o menos práctica y más o menos "lucidez hoy".
En la lista de correo que está apuntada arriba a la derecha en esta página, hemos hecho alguna cosa. Podríamos hacer más.

A ver ... Lo único que tengo claro es que salvo en el primer "escalón" se añaden 2 cifras.
"Consider these strings: 1, 11, 21, 1211, 111221, 312211, ...

Las llama "strings", así que igual no son números. No pueden ser pesos atómicos ni nada de eso.
Me llema la atención el "3". ¿Es el resultado de sumar lo de arriba, lo de los dos de arriba, lo de los lados?
No consigo llegar más lejos de momento.

Sucede que la solucion es 1113213211. Esto porque se va mencionando el numero anterior... pero en vez de usar palabras, se usan números. Por ejemplo, el primer número es 1, por tanto el que sigue es decir que número ese el que estana antes... en este caso, un uno (o en números 11). Luego, el siguiente será la descrpción de este nuevo numero, es decir, dos unos ( o en números, 21)... y asi sucesivamente.
